I LOVE Grapeseed Oil On My Omelette!!!

After making the choice to make smarter decisions about what I eat, I made the change to grapeseed oil. The biggest thing about this type of oil is that it is made from seeds of grapes usually after the wine making process. The seeds are recycled, you got to love that!!! Some of the other great benefits of using this oil is: a higher smoke point (so you can use it for frying), used to mix for dressing or mayonnaise (usually does not separate), has vitamin E and fatty acids, and the best thing it can be flavored.

Every morning I start my day with it! I love making omelettes in the morning. I love the flavor of bacon but I HATE the amount of fat and grease of it. So my alternative is grapeseed oil flavored with smoked bacon. You can get it here: Wild Tree Smoky Bacon Grapeseed Oil This is how I make my scrumptious omelettes:

I start off with about a tablespoon or less of my awesome grapeseed oil!!! Let it warm up before adding my eggs.

Before adding my eggs, I put them in a coffee cup to mix up (I don't know why a coffee cup but this is what I have done for a while). I also add my seasoning, usually a little garlic, salt, and pepper!! I usually use two whole eggs or I use two eggs whites and 1 whole egg. It really depends on what mood I am in.

After the oil is warm, I add the eggs. Let sit until the top has very little uncooked egg. I then flip it, usually try to use my spatula to assist to ensure I do not splatter my egg.

After flipping I add cheese. Let sit for a minute and then I fold it.

After folding, I let sit for a tiny bit longer, then transfer to my plate.

I then add a side of fruit. Please ignore my child bowl! I love the size of it.

The omelette has a smoky bacon flavor to them, which I love. If you are not one for a bacon flavor there are tons of other flavors. Here are some of the flavors that are featured by Wildtree: Roasted Garlic, Basil Pesto, Zesty Lemon, Natural, Butter, Jalapeno Pepper, and Hickory Smoked. There are tons of different flavors and the ones that I have tried are AMAZING!!

Carne Asada Marinated Flank Steak

When using Wildtree products you are able to go and search recipes based on products that you have. After purchasing an awesome bundle from them that included lots of amazing products I was able to find an amazing recipe for Carne Asada Marinated Flank Steak. All I can say is that is was amazing!!! You can get the recipe here: Carne Asada Marinated Flank Steak Recipe!!!

Here is the two products from Wildtree that I used. I did mess with the recipe a little bit. The recipe called for regular grapeseed oil and I used Garlic Roasted.  I love GARLIC! I also cooked the meat on the stove top (I do not have a grill) and then added the vegetables in when the meat was done cooking. I loved how it turned out.

This is how it came out. It has easily been one of the best seasonings for this meal style that I have used. It was so simple and had lots of great flavor. I also paired it with a rice with beans and corn.

If you want to try it out here is the link to the recipe: Brown Rice with Black Beans and Corn!!

Whole Wheat Pizza with Homemade Sauce

My husband and I are huge pizza fans and we are especially fans of this version that we made. Here are the things that you need to make this. Remember you can make it your own by the topping you add. I like to have pepperoni, cheese and feta pizza! It is my all time favorite.

Ingredients:
Grapeseed Oil
Whole Wheat Pizza Dough Mix
Pizza Sauce Seasoning
Tomato Sauce
Pizza Toppings

After you have all of the things that are listed above all you need to make the pizza sauce (pizza sauce seasoning and tomato sauce) and then make the wheat pizza dough mix. Follow the directions on the container for both of these. My husband and I have used both the Walmart and Publix dough and this one is the one that we like the most. We have had problems with the other dough coming out oily. This is one thing that we liked most about the wildtree whole wheat pizza dough mix, it was not oily at all. After add your toppings and bake.

Here are some of the pictures from when my husband and I made it the first time.

This is after I made the dough mix and flattened it out to make my pizza crust. It was so easy. No holes in it, and pretty level through out. I am so proud of myself.

After I put everything together and put it in the oven. I love my cheese and pepperoni, so I made double layers.

After pulling it out of the oven and cutting it. It was so good I could not wait to take a picture.

Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did. I would love to see pictures of your creations!!
